The anonymous blogger recommendation.
This morning, one of the newspapers carried a story about how advertising agencies are now hiring anonymous bloggers to tell how marvellous they are. Is there no end to our betrayal of trust as an industry?
Not only that, is there no end to the self-deception of this practice? Can an agency doing this really believe a potential client is so un-businesslike that they will not check for themselves with other existing clients about the agency’s capabilities?
Forgive me, it must be a sign of advanced age, that anyone could believe this will actually influence the appointment of an agency? Hello?
Call any of our clients. We’ll be delighted. You’ll get whole range of “recommendations”. It’s that kind of business. Then call LHR and discover what real advertising is. Communication that brings results.
